Terms of service

The rules for using Phantom. If anything’s unclear, ask us.

1.These terms

These terms cover the Phantom desktop app, phantm.site and the Phantom API (together, "Phantom"). By using Phantom you agree to them.

Phantom is for adults. If you’re under 18, don’t make an account.

2.Phantom is not Animal Jam

Phantom is an independent tool. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Animal Jam, WildWorks, or anyone who makes or runs the game. We only use the name "Animal Jam" to say which game Phantom plays.

We don’t sell Animal Jam accounts, memberships, gems, diamonds or items, and Phantom can’t create any of them. What we sell is access to Phantom.

Animal Jam can change the game, its rules or its servers at any time, and they don’t have to keep Phantom working. If that happens, we’ll fix what we can and tell you. We can’t promise Phantom will keep working, and a change on their side isn’t a fault on ours.

3.Your Animal Jam account is yours

You need your own Animal Jam account to use Phantom, and you’re responsible for it. Animal Jam’s own terms still apply to you when you use Phantom, and they decide what happens to your account.

Phantom plays the game as you and does what you tell it to. Anything that happens to your Animal Jam account because of that, including Animal Jam suspending or closing it, is your risk, not ours. We can’t get an account back for you. We don’t refund a plan because an Animal Jam account was suspended.

Only sign in to Phantom with accounts you own or are allowed to use.

4.Your Phantom account

You make a Phantom account with your own email address. Before you can use it, you confirm the address by opening the link we email you. Keep your account and password safe. Anyone who can sign in can use Phantom as you, and can see and change your plan. If you think someone has misused your account, tell us at support@phantm.site.

Each Animal Jam player can belong to one Phantom account. You can unlink a player from your dashboard at any time, and then it can be linked somewhere else.

5.Plans and billing

  • Phantom is sold as one tier of full access in two lengths: $6.99 for 30 days, or $39.99 once, for access that never expires. Both plans get you the whole of Phantom.
  • There’s no trial. The private server is free with a Phantom account; a plan is for playing on your own Animal Jam accounts.
  • All payments are final and non-refundable. That includes when an account is suspended or banned for breaking these terms or the community rules, on Phantom, on its private server or in Animal Jam. The only exception is where the law says we must refund.
  • Monthly is billed in advance through Stripe and renews automatically until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment. It isn’t a subscription, it never renews, and the access it gives you doesn’t expire. Prices are in US dollars and don’t include tax, which is added where it applies.
  • Lifetime includes all future versions of Phantom itself, for as long as Phantom runs, along with the plugin store and account sync it uses. If we build something separate, like a different app or a tool for another game, that’s sold on its own and isn’t part of it.
  • You can cancel a renewing plan at any time in Stripe’s billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. That period isn’t refunded unless the law says it must be. There’s nothing to cancel on Lifetime.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe tries again. Phantom keeps working while it does, and stops if the payment finally fails.
  • We may change what Phantom costs. A price change never affects a period you’ve already paid for, and we’ll tell you before you’re renewed at a new price. A price change never takes away access you bought outright.

6.What you can do with Phantom

Play your own accounts, write and run your own scripts, install plugins, and read and send the game’s traffic on your own connection. That’s what Phantom is for.

What you can’t do:

  • Use Phantom on accounts that aren’t yours, or to mess with anyone else’s game.
  • Attack, overload or disrupt Animal Jam’s servers, or anyone else’s.
  • Scam, harass, impersonate or defraud other players, or use Phantom to trick them out of anything.
  • Resell, sublicense or share your Phantom access, or run it as a service for other people.
  • Get around Phantom’s licence checks, or share an account so you don’t have to pay for one.
  • Sell things you get in the game for real money, where Animal Jam doesn’t allow it.

If an account does any of these, we may suspend or close it without a refund.

7.Scripts and plugins you run

Scripts you write, and plugins other people publish, run on your computer, as you, with the permissions you give them. Before any plugin code runs, Phantom shows you what it asks for. You can turn down anything the plugin marks as optional, and choose which games it can touch. Whether you trust a plugin is up to you.

A plugin is its author’s work, not ours. When we review a version before it’s listed, that’s a check, not a guarantee. We don’t promise anything about what a plugin does.

If a plugin does something it shouldn’t, report it from its page on this site or in the app. Reports should be honest. Reporting plugins falsely, or over and over to hurt their authors, is misuse of Phantom.

8.Publishing a plugin

If you publish a plugin to the store, you keep the rights to it. You give us permission to host it, list it and send it to people who install it, for as long as it’s published.

You confirm that you have the right to publish everything in it, that its manifest honestly lists everything it does, and that it has nothing malicious, nothing that steals credentials and nothing illegal in it.

We may refuse, unlist or remove any version at any time, and we’ll tell the author why. If a plugin asks for anything beyond the harmless permissions, a person reads it before it’s listed.

9.Phantom itself

Phantom, its name, its code and this website are ours. Your plan gives you the right to use Phantom for yourself while it runs. You don’t own any part of it.

Don’t copy, decompile or redistribute the app, except where the law lets you no matter what this says.

10.Changes to Phantom

We add things to Phantom, change it, and sometimes take things out. We try not to break things people rely on, and we’ll tell you when we do. If a tool is removed, you don’t get a refund for a period you’ve already paid for, unless what’s left is substantially not what you bought.

11.No warranty

Phantom is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. We don’t promise it’ll never be interrupted, that it’ll keep working with the game, that a script or plugin will do what you expect, or that using it won’t affect your Animal Jam account.

12.Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for anything you lose by using Phantom. That includes an Animal Jam account, items, currency, time or anything else, whether it’s lost to a suspension, a script, a plugin, a fault in Phantom, or a change on Animal Jam’s side.

If we are liable anyway, the most we’ll owe in total is what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law says can’t be limited.

13.Ending your use

You can stop at any time. Cancel in Stripe, and email support@phantm.site to have your account deleted. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. We may also stop offering Phantom, and if we do, we’ll refund the unused part of any period you’ve already paid for.

14.Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top of this page. For changes that matter, we’ll tell you before they take effect. If you keep using Phantom after that, you accept the new terms.
