Hide players
Opens Phantom, which shows everything the plugin may do and waits for you to allow each line before any of its code runs.
Hides the other players in your room, so busy rooms are calm and fast. Buddies can stay visible.
Hides everyone else in your room. A crowded den goes quiet, and the game has a great deal less to draw.
One UI rule finds every avatar the game draws, now or later, in every room, and hides it where it stands. Their pets, chat balloons and emotes go with them. Animal Jam hears none of it: the other players are still there, still walking about, you simply cannot see them.
Using it
It hides everyone the moment the game starts, unless you turn that off. Hide or show players, in the game toolbar's Plugins menu, stops and starts it, and so does its key (Ctrl+H unless you pick another).
Settings
- Keep buddies visible. Your buddies stay on screen. You always do.
- Hide players as soon as the game starts. Turn it off and nothing happens until you ask.
- Key to hide or show players. Pressed in the game; empty for none.
What it needs
"game": "read": seeing the room, and hiding what is drawn on your screen. It never acts for you and nothing leaves the machine.
Running it
bun run dev # served on port 5300; turn on Developer mode in Phantom's Plugins page
bun run testWhat it can do
You allow each of these in Phantom when you install it.
- See the game and draw over itgame:read
Everything the game shows and holds: the room, the people in it, your animal, your items and the game’s own screens. It can hear what happens in the game, draw on top of it, and hide or restyle what is on your screen. With this alone it cannot act for you. Only in the games you choose.
- Only the games you pick
Everything above applies to the Animal Jam accounts you choose to run it on, and to no others. A new plugin runs on none until you pick.
Marked scopes: a person at Phantom reads each version that asks for one before it is listed.
