Den Log

Opens Phantom, which shows everything the plugin may do and waits for you to allow each line before any of its code runs.

While you are in your own den, notes who comes in and when they leave, and can tell you when someone arrives. Kept for this session unless you ask it to keep a history, and only on your computer.

Who came into your den, and when they left. It keeps up whether you are home or out.

Using it

Open the Den Log panel beside a game. Here now lists everyone in your den with you and when they turned up. Under it is this session's log, newest first: who was already there when you got home, who arrived, who left.

Animal Jam tells a den's owner about every arrival and departure by username, even while they are somewhere else, so the log does not stop when you leave. What you do not get while you are out is the animal's name, or a list of who was in there before you started watching. Both turn up when you go home.

Your own den only. Other people's dens and the rest of Jamaa are none of its business.

Being told

Tick Tell me when someone comes in in the plugin's settings and a desktop notification arrives with them, home or not. Anyone already in the den when you got home is skipped, so walking into a busy den does not set off a dozen at once.

You can say no to notifications when you install it. The log works either way.

Keeping it

The log covers this session. It empties when the game starts and again when it closes.

Tick Keep a history and each visit is written down as well, the last 500 across all your players, each marked with whose den it was. They are under History, and Clear history takes the lot.

What it can see

Phantom's dens area (aj.dens) and the den's traffic, and only these: whether you are in your own den, and the names of the people coming and going in it. The log lives in the plugin's own storage and goes nowhere else.

What it can do

You allow each of these in Phantom when you install it.

  • See the game and draw over it
    game:read

Everything the game shows and holds: the room, the people in it, your animal, your items and the game’s own screens. It can hear what happens in the game, draw on top of it, and hide or restyle what is on your screen. With this alone it cannot act for you. Only in the games you choose.

  • Read the game’s traffic
    packets:read

The messages between the game and Animal Jam, as they pass. Never your sign in.

  • Show notificationsOptional
    notifications

On your desktop, with the plugin’s name.

  • Only the games you pick

Everything above applies to the Animal Jam accounts you choose to run it on, and to no others. A new plugin runs on none until you pick.

Marked scopes: a person at Phantom reads each version that asks for one before it is listed. Optional: you can turn it off when you install. The rest still works.
